How to put a site icon on the smartphone desktop

ANDROID

Adding a website icon to the Android Home screen is very simple: even in this case, you can rely on the integrated functionality of Google Chrome, also available in the version of the browser dedicated to Android.

To proceed:

  1. Start the Chrome app
  2. Linked to the website of your interest
  3. Tap the ⋮ button located at the top right and tap Add to Home screen
  4. Finally, indicate a name to assign to the link and touch the Add button to add the icon to the Home screen.

iOS

Adding a website icon to the iOS Home screen is very simple:

To proceed:

  1. Start the Safari app
  2. Linked to the website of your interest
  3. Tap the share button
  4. tap the Add to Home button. Indicate the name you want to assign to the site icon and, finally, tap the Add item
